Elastic Rodes
The Hazelett Marine Products: elastic rode is a proprietary advanced elastomer technology that is proven and tested with 35+ years of experience. The elastic comes in four sizes and two stiffness levels. It is used for a number of applications including swing moorings, docks/pontoons, wave attenuators, navigation buoys and floating solar arrays. When integrated into a mooring line, the Hazelett Marine Elastic Rode provides unparalleled stability, constant tension and extends the design life of the floating structure. Tests conducted by a third party accredited testing facility conclude that a single Hazelett Marine Elastic Rode will withstand over 20kn (4,496 lbs) of force. The elastic can repeatedly elongate over 200% and return to original length.
The Hazelett Marine elastic floats above the sea bed with a minimal environmental footprint, reduces point loads, reduces wind loads, increases mooring density, and provides a more gentle dock motion.

Rope Work – Bridles & Pendants
Hazelett Marine Products creates custom rope work based on customer requests and project specifications. Rope length generally depends on boat size. A standard bridle includes rope, 5ft of chafe sleeve, 2 floats, a thimble, and splicing labor. A standard pennant includes rope, chafe sleeve, line floats, a thimble, and splicing labor.

Hazelett DockMaster System
With the Products of Hazelett Dock Master System 1-4 elastics are connected on the bottom side to the shackle which connects to the anchor and on the top side to a shackle which connects to unline, rope or chain depending on design.
The quantity of elastics used varies depending on the project requirements. A limit line with a 105kn-194kn break strength is integrated to limit stretch as needed and provide additional break strength.
A double 10′ (3 meter) DockMaster System provides a 60kn working load and a 240kn break strength. A triple 10′ (3 meter) DockMaster System provides a 70kn working load and 240kn break strength.
The DockMaster is used throughout the world to moor concrete jetties, aluminum pontoons, modular plastic pontoons and more. Typically installed under pre-tension, the DockMaster evenly distributes loads throughout the lines creating the most stable, safe and eco-friendly dock mooring system in the world.
